A lot of manipulative idea pitches rely on assuming you care.

Manipulators know that most of their idea are unpopular, so they rely on emotion. They’ll pitch idea as important because it saves part of humanity, in some sense.

They might mention problems like wealth redistribution, racism, climate change, abortion, or something about sexual orientation. They always try to make you feel bad for these problems, while assuming you care.

Next time someone uses emotions to get a response, just say you don’t care.
