A Salute Report is a standardized way of passing information on the observation or contact of enemy forces. These are primarily given by forces in the field with direct sight of the enemy but could be passed by secondary forms of observation (such as video). These are very good for recon units to use in order to pass information to higher command.
SALUTE stands for Size, Activity, Location, Unit, Time and Equipment.
