The protective toe portion of composite toe footwear is non-metallic and can be made from Kevlar, carbon fiber, fiberglass or a number of other materials and is typically lighter than steel toe footwear. ALLOY TOE provides protective non-steel reinforcement to the toe box of footwear to allow protection from compression or impact injuries. The protective toe portion of alloy toe footwear is made from durable non-steel materials like aluminum and is generally lighter than steel toe footwear. All Footwear with this designation meets ASTM F2413-11 175 C/75 requirements.

WATERPROOF footwear is specially engineered to not allow water to penetrate the footwear. There are a number of processes that go into constructing waterproof footwear including: Sealing Seams, using waterproof leathers, and lining the footwear with a waterproof membrane.

INSULATED provides additional layers of insulation built into the uppers of the footwear. The amount of insulation generally ranges from a lightweight 200 Gram for moderate cold weather to a very heavy 1000 Gram for use in extreme cold weather conditions.

METGUARD protection provides additional protection to the upper foot portion of the footwear over the metatarsal bones. Metguard protection is always accompanied with a protective toe option and is available in external and internal options.
